Thanksgiving

Just FYI, not one of these pictures are actually mine. I stole them from Stacy's blog. hehe. Thanksgiving was AWESOME! I started the day by getting up and going to ZUMBA. Yes, I'm a Zumba Mama, seriously it's so much fun. After my nice workout we headed over to my parents house for an early Thanksgiving dinner (also sometimes called lunch). First we played a few rounds of spoons. Morgan just loved it! She didn't want us to stop playing.

After eating Ryan went to scout out the crowd at Walmart for their Black Friday deals (which are actually Thanksgiving deals) and decided it was too crowded to leave. So he got in line for the 40" flat screen we wanted while I ran home to get the laptop, camping chairs, blankets, and DVDs. When I got to Walmart it was already super crowded at 6pm and the sales weren't starting til 8. Argh. So I was the designated spot holder (which meant sitting in the camping chair watching Gone with the Wind) while Ryan braved the crowd and got us a Blu-ray player, all the Harry Potter movies ($2 each thank you very much!), Thor, Lord of the Rings, Inception, Sherlock Holmes, etc etc etc. Seriously- we bought WAY too many movies. Ryan also picked up a few other fun things that I can't say because they are people's gifts. :) After what seemed like FOREVER 10pm came around and we finally got the TV we've been pining for; which now is mounted in our room. So that was the end of the first round...yes I wish I could say we were done. The last thing we wanted was for me- the Cannon Rebel T3 bundle that comes with the camera, lens, case, and memory card. But of all our luck- the camera wasn't coming out until 5AM! Argh. At this point it's almost midnight, we talked to a few of the workers and asked them how soon they expected a line for the camera to start and they said there's really no saying but that's a hot item so it's better to be safe then sorry. So there was the option of going home for a few hours and then coming back but for some good reason (I can't remember now what that was) we decided I'd stay and wait. Ryan checked out with our HUGE cart full of stuff and then went to other stores for a couple of hours. While I sat and finished Gone with the Wind and the 3rd Harry Potter. By the time Ryan got back it was about 3am and I was one grouchy girl. First, I've never done well without sleep. Second, my parasites I found out are also mad when I don't get sleep. So 5 hours turned into 937549. I was ready to leave when Ryan got there but he being the level-headed & loving person he is reminded me how much I wanted this camera. So...we stayed.

Finally 5am came around and I got my camera. It was hard to be excited about it at the time because I was dying, or at least that's what I told myself. However, by about 6am I was crawling into bed and woke up very happy to play with my camera. The 12 hours at Walmart I think is enough for the next 6 months. So I decided I'm not going back til June 22nd.
