Our friends Mike & Amanda invited us up to their family cabin with a bunch of our friends for the weekend. It was basically amazing. We had a blast shooting, fishing, having camp fires, and plenty of Phase 10.

Back to Yuba

We had so much fun going to Yuba Lake with my family in May that we decided to go back with friends in July. And yes, this was back on July 5th to be exact... I'm just a bit behind. Our friends Faith & Bryce, Jill & Woody, Mike & Amanda, Justin & Amy, and us all went down for a weekend on the lake. It was so much fun. Jill and Woody brought their fishing boat and we brought our waverunners so there was tons of playing in the water.

First item of business... stop at the Big Red Barn in Santaquin for some ice cream on the way.

 So after dinner we had a bit of a rain storm so we all jumped into our big tent to wait it out. Since we had some extra code-thingys from the family reunion that said we were pregnant, we figured we'd tell these lovely people the same way.

Justin was the winner! He had it solved in pretty much seconds.

 Luckily someone noticed that the boat was starting to float down the bank and the boys were able to catch it before it got away.

4th of July

 The 4th of July is seriously one of my favorite holidays. There's nothing better than BBQs, parades, fireworks, and USA! This year Ryan had to help his scouts with a fundraiser in the morning, so I thought since we live so close to the parade I'd bike over with the puppies... haha. Bad idea. I ended up walking the bike over with the puppies. But we still got there and the parade was fantastic! Afterwords we headed to my parents house for a BBQ and swimming. Ryan's mom and sister Camille joined us for that part. Yay family!

 After the BBQ we decided to head home for a much needed nap before going to watch fireworks. The problem is we didn't plan on not wanting to get out of bed after... so we may have just stayed in bed watching movies rather than going to watch fireworks. haha, it's very unlike us to do that- I blame the little peanut inside me that takes up all my energy. :)

Vegas & Reunions

Back in June... Ryan and I spent the few weeks traveling. First, we went with his cousins Sam, Rob, and Ben down to Vegas for his cousin Natalie's wedding.

 Vance/Gardner Reunion

 After Natalie's wedding we went home and packed to leave the next day for the Vance/Gardner reunions. It was up in Idaho at a place called Downata Hot Springs. The first 3 days were just Ryan's immediate Vance family. Followed by 3 days of the Gardner reunion (Ryan's mom's family). So I was extremely disappointed with myself when I realized I only took like 9 pictures the entire week!!... I must be pregnant. So Julienne thanks for being a better photographer than I am and I hope you don't mind me stealing a few pics off Facebook.

 

We were so excited to finally tell people we were pregnant! We had been keeping the secret for over a month and it was getting old. This was Ryan's idea of how to tell his family. It's a code that you have to crack and then unscramble. It was fun watching the kids reactions when they figured out the code.
