We found out about a month ago that Ryan got in to the Accounting program at BYU!!! And boy was I so proud of him. He worked so hard on his application especially the essay. (Luckily Ryan's got some seriously smart brothers that were able to help him out a lot with that part as well.) I couldn't be more proud. That program is such a hard one to get into and we were both thinking it wouldn't happen.
He started classes on Monday and in the last three days has put in over 25 hours of school work! It's going to be a crazy year for sure but I'm so grateful for a husband who's not scared of hard work. Ryan will have some amazing opportunities and contacts because he's in this program. So while I might be spending the next year (or 3) without a husband, I know that it will be worth it. Guess I'll just have to focus on all those crafts I've been wanting to get done. :) Love you Ryan.

Lake Powell
I have never been to Lake Powell in the 24 years of my life living in Utah! Isn't that just ridiculous? Well... I'm happy to report that is no longer the case. A few weeks ago we went with my dad's side of the family down to Powell and it was such a blast. My favorite part had to be watching Ryan get all giddy about being in Lake Powell. He was seriously so happy to be down there. His family used to go every year when he was growing up on his Grandpa's house-boat so Powell holds a special place in his heart. I'm pretty sure that when we have kids Ryan will insist on going down every year, and I'm all game for it because I loved Powell!
It was especially fun getting to know our aunts, uncles, and cousins better. I seriously have such a fun family.
Ryan's family always stopped here in Hanksville to get shakes. So we made sure to stop on the way there and back. It was delicious!
Overall it was such a fun vacation. We learned two things- 1)Never leave half way through, it's super lame and you don't want to leave. 2)Bring water shoes. Yay Lake Powell!

| He was so tired he fell asleep sitting up on the couch. Precious |
The first night there we projected a movie on to the side of the mountain. That was so much fun. And of course Pat and Ladeen had kettle corn in those cute little popcorn bags for everyone. We felt like we were at an old drive-in movie. I'm a little bugged I didn't get any pictures of it. The second night, Pat had put together a game of Survivor (like the TV show). She's so creative. Boys vs. Girls with relays, eating horrid things, races... it was a blast. Pardon these pictures, my phone doesn't take the best photos in the dark.

Days of Summer
Here's a little photo update of what we have been up to for the past month...
It was great. It started with the Freedom Festival parade, then BBQ at the parents, watching the new Spiderman, and finally with laying out watching the Stadium of Fire fireworks. Ah.. heavenly.
There's this cute little market every Saturday morning in Provo that Ryan and I decided to check out. They had flavored honey sticks, which I had to try. So yummy.

Girls Night Out
Yep... that was dinner! Got to love it. And I LOVE these girls. It was a super fun night.
Emily's Shower
These pictures were taken with my phone, so I apologize for the blur. But it was SO much fun when Emily came out from Chicago for a BABY shower. I can't believe I'm old enough for my best friend to be pregnant. She has the cutest little baby bump. Emily's having a girl in October! Just think... if it came October 20th?! (Then you would have to name her Carissa, right Em?) The shower was at Paradise bakery with all her family- including her birth mom. I got to meet her for the first time! It was such a cool experience. Emily is going to be such a great mom. Can't wait.
And here's me taking the neighbor girls to the pool.... aren't they so cute?

The Vance's
Richard's family was in town for a reunion and we got to spend a Saturday with them. It's a huge treat when Ryan's family comes around since they all live so far away. It was fun getting to see Kim, Boo, Richard, Julienne, and their adorable kids. It was soon to be Joe's birthday so we got to sing to him.
Another time we hung with the cousins up the canyon at their cabin. They had a really fun game of Angry Birds Live! Ryan's cousins are always super creative at coming up with fun games. This was hilarious.
