Lately...

So many things have happened in the last few weeks I don't know where to start. Two weekends ago was a crazy busy weekend. Friday Ryan and I had a temple date. I seriously love those- the temple is the best place to make me fall more in love with Ryan than ever! After the temple we decided to try another hole-in-the-wall place in Provo (there's a bunch here). This time we decided to go Thai at The Thai Kitchen (super original). The food was actually really good- however the atmosphere was not because we were the only two people in the place. With it being really small, we felt like our waitress and the owner were practically listening to everything we said. But it was still a fun little outing. I have actually been craving the sweet rice and mango dessert ever since.

The King and Queen of Thailand... I think :)

Are we loving the decor?
Ryan was really excited for the curry. That's his "I'm-trying-to-act-normal-while-Carissa-takes-a-picture" face

Saturday we had a really fun Valentine's Dinner with some couples. The dinner was fantastic, the company was even better, and playing the "Newlywed game" made for a really fun night. I'm really mad at myself for not taking any pictures of the event. Faith- did you happen to take any?

Sunday night we had an even BIGGER party. Our dear friends Jill and Woody moved to Denver so we had a going-away party for them. It was just like old times when we'd have huge parties with 40+ people showing up. However, our house isn't as big as my parents so we were a little crowded to say the least. But it was SO much fun seeing old friends that we haven't seen for forever! Here is a link to Jill's blog about it- take a look. It was such a fun night, but we are all going to miss them like crazy.

So that was our busy weekend two weeks ago, then last weekend we had the Scouts do a camp-out in our backyard! Ryan was called as the Scout Master in our ward and the stake Young Men's sports director- so he's working with the YM like crazy. However, last Friday was the first time I really got to know them. And they are so adorable. There's 6 deacons and I was surprised at how polite and sweet the boys were. They LOVED Milo of course. They mostly passed off merit-badges which I had nothing to do with, but I had fun making dinner and goodies with them.

Saturday night we were super worn out from the camp-out so we grabbed some Subzero ice cream (our fav) and laid on the couch watching some basketball. It was lovely.

Sunday, Ryan left for his annual family get-together up at Snowbird ski resort. His uncles and grandpa own timeshares there over President's day weekend. We were both planning on going up Sunday-Monday until we realized Saturday night at about 11 that we have a little puppy. haha. And since a ski resort isn't exactly puppy friendly, we decided I'd stay home so Ryan could go snowboarding Monday and Tuesday. What does that mean for Carissa?....

It means catching up on all 7 episodes of season 2 Downton Abbey! Yes, I LOVE that series. It made for a very relaxing and wonderful Presidents day- Downton Abbey, Milo, and chocolate! Happy happy day.
